Audio/Video Ministry

Our Sound And Light Team (SALT) is a group of people that enjoys some of the technical, behind-the-scenes aspects of the worship services. Each week this team uses technology to enhance the worship service experience with sound support for house audio and recording, computer slide presentations, stage lighting, and video recording and switching. We are always seeking those techies out there who would like to join this team. Training is offered at various times for interested persons. For more information, ask one of the members after a service or contact the church office. This group is a key to the worship service and all that goes in at Center Church.

Some of our duties include:

Sound and Light Reinforcement
Our audio technicians operate sound for worship services, and when needed, worship team rehearsals and special events in the life of the church.  They are also responsible for audio used in the recording process to create DVDs of the service for shut-ins or homebound congregants.

A theatrical lighting board and lights are used to illuminate the sanctuary, service participants and band members with overhead and backdrop lights.  This team is responsible for making the necessary adjustments for services and special events.

Presentation
This team uses computer presentation software and other services to present graphics on the screens for music and messages during our worship services. Basic computer knowledge and experience with Windows operating features are needed to be a part of this team.

Video Operation and Switching
We utilize cameras as well as feeds from the projection equipment to visually enhance our worship services.  This technician is responsible for switching cameras, computer, and DVD sources for both the main sanctuary feeds and recording feed.

Video Production
Part of our mission is to ensure that those church members who cannot attend services are given an opportunity to keep worshiping with us.  We take the Sunday service recording each week and produce a DVD that can be delivered to shut-ins or homebound members.
